I can’t help it. I’m a techie.

So, it’s been noted that the content of this blog over the course of the last few months has verged too much towards the inanely dull and technical. That’s just the way it’s gone recently as I’ve done lots of techie things.

This blog is as much a place to share new internet toys with co workers and those friends that may find them interesting, as a place for sharing the more random, and infinitely more amusing stories.

That said, the balance has definitely more towards the tech recently, and less of anything else.

So, I’ll be sure to make sure I take the time to post other stuff too. Just so happens that I spend a lot of time on the web during the day researching web techniques and the latest trends, and I post what I find as I go.

Dude, you’re still not getting it.

I’m a techie.

Chuck’s a techie.

Jez is a techie with fabulous hair (whatever that implies).

We could all bore our fellow men to tears with details about (variously) telephony, the shadowy world of defence, project management and Russian hookers.

Notice that conspicuous by its absence is a blog authored by me contained posts on the SS7 protocol stack, or what we can expect from UMTS when take-up occurs in a big way.

Chuck’s blog isn’t peppered with references to Prince 2, or critical path.

Being a techie is awesome, but with great power comes great responsibility. Just because you can talk with great knowledge and fluency about the intricacies of Wordpress, RSS, SS7, binary arithmetic, chipsets, cooling systems, overclocking, USB architecture or whatever doesn’t mean you should if you expect us to read the blog!

Of course, there’s nothing preventing a private investigation of these fascinating subjects but the point of an internet-accessible blog, surely, is that it contain stuff people might want to read?

I want to know what you’re up to lately, hear your musings. What you reading, watching, doing, plotting, avoiding etc? What’s your stance on the topics of the day? What do you think the topics of the day should be?

I implore you: shoot more breeze.
